WP2: Requirements Engineering, Reference Architecture & Use Case Analysis | Toggle to view

Objectives

  • Manage the agile requirement engineering, specification and design methodology.
  • Define and analyse a diverse of use cases in personalization systems, smart predictive informative tools and IIoT platforms for manufacturing industries.
  • Design the overall architecture of the KYKLOS 4.0 Ecosystem.
  • Map user requirements into system requirements & specifications and assure the effective adaptation of all systems.

WP3: Intra-factory Operation Components | Toggle to view

Objectives

  • Develop the hardware, software and middleware for the KYKLOS 4.0 Shop Floor Cognitive accelerator.
  • Adapt the static part of the Shop Floor Cognitive accelerator prototype meeting the requirements set.
  • Integrate components to fully functional KYKLOS 4.0 Shop Floor Cognitive accelerator.
  • Verify the behaviour and performance of the accelerator using state-of-the-art SW/HW co-simulation methods and artificial test scenarios.
  • Develop models for predicting defects due to deterioration of machinery condition.
  • Verify product conformance by diagnosing problems with the manufacturing process.
  • Build an autonomous, self-adjusted inference engine for real-time inspection and control at the plant and decision support at the edge level.
  • Develop an integrated production management framework.
  • Define the reference CPS hardware and software framework – Perform test beds.
  • Define the ontology models and implement the ontology rules.

WP4: Product on Demand Framework | Toggle to view

Objectives

  • Design and implement a light cognitive learning toolkit for real-time shop floor robot education.
  • Develop an interactive augmented reality environment and automated robot reprogrammable system for real-time assistance / transformation of the re-configured production lines.
  • Analyse and implement the KYKLOS 4.0 rapid prototyping module.
  • Design and develop the KYKLOS 4.0 LCA simulation engine.
  • Integrate a PLM repository based on ISO 10303 – Enable collection of heterogeneously formatted data.
  • Develop the KYKLOS 4.0 Manufacturing Management Component.
  • Design and develop the shop floor feedback engine.
  • Implement the KYKLOS 4.0 Integrated DSS engine.
  • Design and develop the production re-configuration module.

WP5: Collaboration Framework | Toggle to view

Scope:

  • Perform preliminary testing processes of the interoperability and communications framework of the system – Analyse novel technology enablers for integration and available standards for communication.
  • Define the technological means for uniform data exchanges and communications between all components of the KYKLOS 4.0 software infrastructure.
  • Develop the interoperability framework and API‘s of the KYKLOS 4.0 solution – Validate the plugged-in capability of components to the software infrastructure.

WP6: Supporting Toolkits | Toggle to view

Objectives

  • Develop a software to provide market expectations using data stored in public sites as social networks, blogs, etc.
  • Develop a recommendation engine to enable the offering of personalized products.
  • Analyse and develop KYKLOS 4.0 parametric design methodologies.
  • Propose a smart – material toolkit.
  • Enable AM in-process monitoring and control.
  • Implement KYKLOS 4.0 3D modelling component.

Scope

Consumers demand a more personalized service or product, expressing it through their on-line presence (social networks, on-line comments, etc.), opening the opportunity for manufacturers, to provide to costumers which they are really demanding. Nowadays there is a lack of analytics tools that convert customer-feedback in effective customization strategies. This work package will work developing tools that using analytics and make decisions engines that will allow an effective segmentation, inclusive a personalization of the consumer.

WP 7: Infrastructure | Toggle to view

Objectives

  • Design and implement the KYKLOS 4.0 virtual line orchestrator.
  • Develop the gateway on top of the communications infrastructure.
  • Develop the back-end and front-end software infrastructure.
  • Design and implement brokering and matchmaking services.

  • Integrate KYKLOS 4.0 technologies into a unified circular and flexible manufacturing B2B solution.
  • Measure the quality of the implementations in terms of technical performance and user experience.
  • Involve end-users in the development by means of user evaluations – Verify the final implementations.

WP10: Technology Validation Pilots and Demonstration Activities | Toggle to view

Objectives

  • Validate and demonstrate KYKLOS 4.0 Ecosystem in real-life use cases.
  • Follow-up the implementation and evolution of the pilots.
  •  Retrieve and analyse the information provided from the pilots.
  • Develop a detailed training methodology.

WP11: KYKLOS 4.0 Open Call Coordination | Toggle to view

Scope

  • Organize Open Calls to allow more prototypes created by the research community.
  • Take advantage of KYKLOS 4.0 technology to reach the market.
  • Ensuring that actors and beneficiaries along the value chain will be brought together, and suppliers will be efficiently approached to customize and apply digital technologies in their environment.

Objectives

  • Correct definition, publication, evaluation, monitoring and analysis of the foreseen Open Calls.
  • Define the specifications of the Open Calls procedure.
  • Design the prototypes to be carried out within the Open Calls.

WP12: Raising Awareness & Exploitation Roadmap | Toggle to view

Scope

  • The effective and sustainable dissemination of knowledge among and beyond the members of the consortium (during and beyond the lifetime of the project), as well as the promotion of the exploitable foreground of the KYKLOS 4.0 results.
  • Report about activities to provide adequate and effective protection of knowledge created in the project, having due regard to the legitimate interests of the contractors concerned and their Intellectual Property Rights.
  • Provide the rationale of how the KYKLOS 4.0 results can be commercialized and monetized.

Objectives

  • Raising public awareness of project achievements among the key user groups and stakeholders in manufacturing suite services and IIoT technology, the scientific community and the general public.
  • Facilitate sharing of knowledge inside the consortium and connect research community, academia, private sector and other industry bodies and financial institutions.
  • Share the technical results of the project with the scientific community.
  • Promote the familiarization and use of tools, technologies, deliverables and other results of the project to the stakeholders‘ community of KYKLOS 4.0.
  • Develop an analysis for the cost-effective exploitation of project foreground.
  • Map out the commercial potential of KYKLOS 4.0 within manufacturing sector and relevant associations at a European level and beyond.
  • Identify realistic opportunities for shared KYKLOS 4.0 IPR and specific claims on KYKLOS 4.0 related IPR.
  • Provide KYKLOS 4.0 solution competitive landscape analysis, targeting and external positioning.
  • Define market segments and analyse profit potential per segment.
  • Develop an adequately captured marketing strategy.
